Sora

Sora is your access to district ebooks & audiobooks! 

Access

  1. Go to soraapp.com or download the mobile app Sora.

  2. Click on "I have a setup code" at the bottom of the page.

  3. Enter the code sd35ca & select Langley School District.

  4. Login using your school email & password.

Navigation

  • Home - Find your assignments, borrowed books, defined words & highlights/notes.

  • Explore - Browse books.

  • Shelf - Access your borrowed books.

  • Me - Look at your reading stats.

  • Upper Right Corner - Click on the horizontal lines to select your library, add a public library, go to your settings and sign out.

Settings Sidebar

  • ​General Settings - Change Sora to another language (just the app, not borrowed books).

​

eBook Settings

  • Click on the center bottom of your current page to open the settings. 

  • The bottom bar show your progress through the book. Click on chapter to jump to different chapters.

  • Click on the buttons in the upper right corner to adjust settings such as:

    • Text size, font, screen lighting (sepia / dark mode)​

    • Bookmark a page

    • View - single vs. double page 

Audiobook Settings

  • Click on the center bottom of your current page to open the settings. 

  • The bottom bar show your progress through the book. Click on chapter to jump to different chapters.

  • Click on the buttons in the upper right corner to adjust settings such as:

    • Playback speed 

    • Set a playback time limit
