Luckily, I made the right selection when I chose to attend American River College (ARC) as an undecided student. This was the beginning of my road to exploring new, forward-thinking ways of thinking about chemistry and about science in general. I received a general education diploma (GED) in May of 2016 because I am not quite ready to finish college yet. There is still so much work to be done in order to heal my isolation problems, both on campus and off campus. At ARC, I happened to work with one of my professor’s amazing research groups in a mentorship role. My ARC professor now wants to invite me back to work in his lab. I love science so much, and have many more opportunities to continue my adventures in chemistry.

I will be posting more details on this site about this exciting opportunity, and hope you will consider joining me in supporting the university. My new title is Chief Academic Officer and I will be responsible for changing the culture of academic affairs at the University, especially the basic needs of faculty and staff. My primary duty will be to work to bring in the best possible faculty, staff, and students to improve our academic programs.

I deeply appreciate what my office already provides you, and am excited to explore other opportunities to improve conditions. As chancellor, I am committed to making sure all of you have the best possible opportunity to put your passion for learning, innovation and service to work for you every day.
